A rise in drug-related deaths in the UK

In 2017, there were 3756 drug deaths in the UK, of which 2503 were deaths caused by misuse of illegal drugs. That’s 43.9 deaths per million. While this is not the highest in the world, it is one of the highest in the UK since 1993.
